Welcome to the PAWS for GAWS Charity Dog Walk! We're thrilled to have you and your furry friends join us for this wonderful cause. While our primary goal is to ensure a fun and rewarding experience for all, your safety and the safety of your pets are paramount.
Please read the following safety disclaimer carefully:
1. Participant Responsibility:
- All participants are responsible for their own safety and that of their pets. This includes adhering to the designated route and following the instructions of event organisers and volunteers.
2. Dog Behaviour:
- All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times during the event.
- Participants are responsible for the behaviour of their dogs. Dogs showing signs of aggression must be removed from the event immediately.
3. Health and Fitness:
- Participants should assess their own and their dog’s fitness level before taking part. If in doubt, please consult with a healthcare provider or veterinarian.
4. Weather Conditions:
- The event will take place rain or shine, except in extreme weather conditions. Participants should dress appropriately and prepare for weather changes.
5. Route Navigation:
- While the route will be marked and supervised by GAWS volunteers, participants should stay alert to their surroundings and avoid potential hazards.
6. Liability Waiver:
- By participating in this event, you agree to waive and release Geelong Animal Welfare Society and its partners, sponsors, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from your participation in the event.
7. Emergency Situations:
- In the event of an emergency, attendees can rely on the presence of a licensed first aid provider and a veterinarian, who will be on site for the duration of the event.

- Children under the age 17 of must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
