Kayleigh & Cleo are walking for GAWS this coming Sunday! GAWS is the only shelter organisation in the region, that even our own council uses (to drop off animals caught by the ranger) but DOES NOT RECEIVE GOV. FUNDING. This haven for lost, hurt, abandoned animals relies solely on donations from the public. I am asking anyone & everyone who can to be please support GAWS, support by volunteering, donating goods to the shelter, donating to their op shop — and please if you can donating to this fundraiser. Even as little as a dollar can help — it all adds up. And it all makes a difference. Let me tell you how! Cleo was abandoned by her previous family. She was out there as a stray, in storms and the heat of summer, alone, scared, hungry. After months, she was taken to GAWS & was considered one of their worst cases. Cleo is her healthy 45kg now. When she was taken into the shelter, she was skin and bone. She was covered in lacerations, fleas, and her eyes were raw from an untreated condition. She was near death. GAWS got her medical treatment, used love and patience and food and vets to nurse her back to health. Cleo is now with her forever mum, happy and healthy and living her best senior years. Without GAWS, that wouldn’t have been the case. That wouldn’t have been her future. You can help save animals in need, just by donating here, supporting the fundraiser. You can help by donating to their op shop in Newcomb. You can help animals like Cleo get a second chance.
